At Southwest we believe in Community!
We think people – all people – are important. We encourage Connecting with People through formal and informal opportunities for CHILDREN & YOUTH, ADULTS & FAMILIES, and SPECIAL EVENTS.
We know that life has ups and downs and it is much better to walk alongside people who can support you and cheer you on as life moves forward.
Children & Youth
At Southwest there is always something happening for children and youth. We offer a safe Nursery and an exciting Sunday School program during Sunday services. YERPS (grades 5 to 7) and THE CORE (grades 8 to 12) meet regularly under the direction of our Youth Pastor, Hannah Juras, and a dedicated group of volunteers.
Adults & Families
There are lots and lots of opportunities for adults of all ages to connect at Southwest. We have groups for young adults (The 1830’s) and seniors (The Empty-Nesters). We have groups and service opportunities for women (Wednesday and Friday studies, Kitchen and Hospitality, retreats, PIT Stop and more) and for men (Prayer with Jam, accountability, monthly breakfasts, retreats and more), AND there are plenty of opportunities for friendly coffees and lunches.
Southwest has developed many traditions that bring our church family together for fun and fellowship. We love our monthly soup Sundays! And, of course, the food, activities, special music, games, and programs associated with the various celebrations throughout the church year – Advent, Christmas, spring, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, fall, etc.
