Tyler Robertson – Chair
Tyler Robertson is an avid snow shoveller which helps him navigate his long and steep driveway and get to the church he loves, albeit rarely on time! With his wife Pam he shares a passion for Christian education. They have enjoyed being part of the Southwest family. With four kids, three grandkids, brothers, sisters and a contingency of Brazilian friends thrown in, he and Pam are THAT big happy family.
Barb Fuller’s career as a pastor and a missionary has taken her from her home shores of beautiful Nova Scotia to the urban rush of Toronto, then across the ocean to the poverty of a former Soviet nation. Together with her chocolate Lab, Toby, she has discovered the best places to go for walks and dog swims! Barb has three adult children and six grandchildren. She works for RSVP Ministries and feels honoured to be part of the leadership in the caring faith community that is Southwest.
Linda was born and raised in Vancouver near Kitsilano beach. She and her husband David and two of their three daughters have lived in Kamloops since 1989. She also has three delightful grandsons. Southwest has been Linda’s church since moving to Kamloops. She has been active in various ministries throughout the years. A retired social worker, she has a strong background working with families and children. She enjoys serving the Lord in different ways in both the church and the community. Square dancing and trying to keep up with her active Border Collie keeps her on the move.
Kevin and his family are excited to call Kamloops and Southwest Community Church their home. Their journey to Kamloops has led through Fort St. John and Calgary. They have jumped in with both feet to volunteer and get involved wherever they can. Among many other causes, they have a passion for the local church, international missions, and international students. Kevin can be seen running the trails and pathways of Kamloops in all seasons and weather. He serves the Pastoral Team as head of the Finance Committe.
Brian came to Southwest before 1982, even before we had a building! He is a retired instrumentation mechanic, having worked at Highland Valley Copper for almost 37 years. Brian and his wife Cindy have been married, for 36 years and he’s a self declared family man with 3 grown children and two grandchildren. His work in Guatemala as part of a mechanics team has been invaluable to the short term missions program through Impact Ministries. Brian is an avid reader and is interested in physics, fast cars, and music. He is also currently our Pastoral Team member assigned to the Land and Property Committee. For church Land and Property matters contact Brian at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Prior to coming to Kamloops and SWCC, Joyce’s life included being a missionary (as a Bible translator), professor (focusing on spiritual formation/Christian spirituality at several seminaries across Canada), pastor (transitional lead) and spiritual life coach. She continues to work as spiritual life coach and teaches part time at Carey Theological College in the MASF program. Joyce and Ed have 3 grown children (and 3 in-law children!!) and enjoy 5 grandchildren. Joyce considers her role on PT to be an honour and privilege and is exited to serve our church community.
Carol has been a Southwest member from the beginning and continues to love and value this faith community. She enjoys learning and discipling and is usually participating in or leading a Bible study. Carol has spent time in Peru serving as a school administrator and learning lots about God’s perfect provision for all of His children. Carol is blessed with two daughters and two granddaughters and is thankful they are close at hand. She enjoys spending time with family and watching them grow and learn as well as spending some time on the golf course in summer. Serving in His kingdom is a joy even when times are tough.
